2012 – This is the year of supreme order and harmony

Happy New Year, and what a year it’ll be. To imagine all your dreams can and will come true, in short, the dress-rehearsal is over and it’s front and center for anyone who’s been sewing their seeds. Satin Steel Jazz is one of those seeds and the response in Asheville has been beyond my dreams. Five weeks at Frankie Bones has not only brought us the publicity and notice we’ve needed, but also the audience to which our music is specific. The golden era of standards innovated by Frank Sinatra, Keely Smith, and Tony Bennett. The classic bossa nova tunes and sounds of Jobim and Stan Getz. The great swing songs like A Foggy Day, Fly Me To The Moon, When Your Lover Has Gone, and The Lady Is A Tramp. I’ve enjoyed every minute of fostering this repertoire for years and now we’re recording our debut album in February. Stay informed once we update the calendar – I look forward to singing my heart out for you.
